The Hellenic government has decided to open its borders for tourists from the Schengen zone, the European Union and Israel, from mid-June or July 1 the latest, as the number of Corona virus infection cases has started to decrease.
According to Greeks media, the country’s health authorities have already supported the government’s plan to permit tourists to visit Greece, whereas the date remains to be finalized. It depends on the country’s Corona virus developments, which, according to the health authorities, are very encouraging.
The reopening of borders may also “allow” seasonal hotels to start opening from June 15 – year-round hotels will open from June 1.
The government has also decided to allow international flights from some countries, from the last week of May.
