What a wonderful place to visit. The no cars is a great implementation for the island to be undisturbed and keep the charm of the island allowing you to walk around and enjoy it with your hearts content.
I do have conflicted feelings seeing the horse and carriage because one side of me loves to see and hear the hooves on the cobble stone streets and it is very romantic but at the same time I feel bad for the horses living that type of life.
What do you guys think?
Don't forget that not many years ago, whole cities built with the help of horses and mules. If the owners take care them it is OK for me to take a quick ride.
