I’m getting ready to put together trip in my boat through different parts of the Caribbean, but I see mixed ideas as to which destinations are best for you to consider. Have you ever done this sort of trip? What islands were your favorite to shore at for a few days? Thanks for the advice and help!
Hi, I live in the Caribbean so I can give some input. Each island has unique aspects to it however I know BVIs, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados and Antigua are quite popular. It also depends on your interests.
If you start from Florida your first stop will be Bahamas. From there you can visit more than 700 islands around like Abaco, Eleuthera ,Exumas. It is the boating paradise. Amazing beaches and many bars that can use your dinghy to visit them.
Antingua is one of my favourites but it is always nice to go on some of the hundreds of surrounding islands for some peace and tranquility. The sand and water is to die for and you will have a great time wherever you go.
I've been browsing my old logs from sailing in the Caribbean and there is so much to choose from. I think Antigua has such a great vibe and it is a popular sailing stop. Not least because it is easy to pick up spares there, or have them waiting for you when you arrive. There are lots of fantastic beaches and wildlife where ever you go.
